Tsunami Sounder Model
May 4th, 2008I have recently become fascinated with a tsunami warning sounder down by the beach. Here in Homer, we are in imminent threat of a tsunami (not really, but it makes life exciting) and so we have an alarm system set up that would go off in case of a tsunami. It is a loud speaker that emits a tone, then says a message. It is also very powerful. The model I built is 4,800 watts, and even a mile away is 60db’s loud. Jeenkees!
A few days ago, Jack (a friend (not imaginary)) and I went down to the beach and I took some pictures as a referance. I think I will probably be texturing this thing later!
